The MOMs crew is hard at work, setting up the soon-to-open Waldorf store in Southern Maryland! You can expect grand opening festivities on Nov 9th, 10th & 11th, including kids activities, free samples, goody bags, raffles, henna tattooing and lots of delicious food!
The new Waldorf store is located at 3301 Plaza Way, Waldorf MD 20306. Its right off of Route 301/Crain Highway. Nearby, there’s a Kids First Swim, which is a great little spot for kids swimming lessons.
We’re also near a Chipotle (on 301), Giant, Waldorf Fitness Center, and Capital Clubhouse recreation center which has ice skating, rock-climbing and other fun activities to keep your blood flowing!
Waldorf MOMs will sport the tell-tale signs of a MOMs store: eco-friendly materials like a customer service desk made from sustainable bamboo, no-frills decor like a polished concrete floor (no excessive waste and chemicals needed for maintenance), extensive recycling area (for compost, plastic recycling, light bulbs, batteries, etc), free fair-trade coffee station, all-LED lighting all over the store, and of course, it will be wind-powered like all of our other locations!

We are soooo excited! I let out a big scream when I saw the billboard Ad. Finally, a health food store in southern Maryland! I live in Brandywine and would have to travel all the way to College Park, Bowie, or Virginia to shop at MOM’s. Following a gluten free Vegan diet is not easy if you don’t have access to good food from a trusted source, MOM’s is that source for me. Thank you. We see you at the GRAND OPENING!

We are thrilled to have a MOMs in SoMo. We are not vegan, gluten free, etc…we just want healthy, pesticide-free, local food options for our family. And a choice other than the big guys’ (ie Safeway,Giant) limited, varied quality and/or overpriced items. This is wonderful for our community. Thank you for taking a chance on Waldorf.

I’m relieved to have a MOM’S close to me. I have traveled to the VA and College Park locations and to be honest it has resulted in less visits. I just couldn’t find the time being a busy mom. It’s great to have this option. Kudos to MOM’S for expanding, glad to see the success as well. Peace
